  • NXT color sensor code

My team wants to program with the NXT color sensor. I was just wondering if that is legal. If it is, is there any different code in contrast from a normal color sensor? I know normally there would be a code such as colorsensor.alpha(); or something like that. Any help or advice welcome.

Sorry, the NXT color sensor is not supported. Donate them to a FLL team, they'll be happy, and you won't have to be reminded of them in your toolbox.

Gels on the light sensors, Hitechnic, Adafruit and Modern Robotics are the most used solutions.

I think that there is a lot of confusion due to not being careful with names (guilty of this myself). Both sensors are for NXT. The Lego website does not include NXT in its title for the color sensor, this sensor is not supported. The Hitechnic sensor title is Hitechnic NXT Color Sensor V2, and is supported.

There is an example program using the Hitechnic NXT Color Sensor in FtcRobotController/src/(lots more)/external/samples

        Did it again myself.

        Replace

        with
Hitechnic NXT sensor - note 2 lumps on front

Thanks for everyone's advice and input. I will use a modern robotics color sensor instead.
