  • Getting Robot Controller 3.6 and Driver Station 3.6 download from GitHub onto phone

    Hi,
We couldn't find version 3.5 of RC and DS apps on Google Play so went to github and downloaded the app. but now we don't know how to get it on our phones. It ask us to provide an app to open the .apk, but we don't know which one.Could you please help us? We have checked YouTube and done some searching but didn't find the solution. Maybe we didn't look closely enough.
    Many thanks for your help.

Which phones do you have? Generally you can plug the phone into the computer and open it as a storage device (you may need to turn off the phone's debug mode to allow it to connect as a storage device). From there, you can use the windows file explorer to navigate to the downloads directory on the phone, and copy the .APK to the phone's download directory from the PC directory. Most phones have some form of file explorer, or at least will let you open the downloads directory from the phone, and you can open the .APK from there to install on the phone.

      Hi

When you go to the play store, it only has the latest version. Note: The "number" it shows is the ranking, not the version.

If you want the latest DS and RC apps (version 3.6), just download the only FTC apps in the store.

Once you have downloaded it, run it and use the "about" menu option to check the version.

      Phil.
