      I just informed our IT man about the new devices and WiFi-Direct. This was his response:
      "Yes, but just so you know, we usually turn off wifi direct on things because it adds another wifi channel to the mix. Is there any way they can transmit over our wifi?"
      Has anyone else heard similar concerns? We're a school with WiFi all over the place.

        Most modern WAPs found in schools, enterprises, and public places will automatically hop channels as necessary. It is possible to transmit the data over the normal network but requires extra code (since connection setup/teardown in wifi direct is different).
