  • Creo Tutorials?

    Hi all,

I am a new Mentor for a newer team. I just downloaded CREO and now need a tutorial or something to help get started.

I downloaded the FTC Tetrix CAD Models from http://www.catalogds.com/db/service?d=first&c=browse, and now I can load and see some of the Tetrix parts we work with, but I don't know how to assemble them into a working robot.

Does anyone have any good links for beginners?

Any help at all would be appreciated!

    How to Model Almost Anything

The makers of Creo have made a awesome curriculum designed around teaching people to use Creo Parametric (for FTC, you'll be working with Parametric 99.99% of the time. If not 100%).

Here is the link to the forum page where you can get it (it's the link at the bottom): http://communities.ptc.com/docs/DOC-4618

When it downloads as a WinRar file and you open it, you'll see lot of PDF files. Each PDF is a lesson on something related to Creo, be it modeling or assembling or X Y and Z.
However, don't ignore any readme files you see, make sure that you have everything set up correctly.

Feel free to message me if you get stuck on something.

I just checked, and it does give you a PDF of how to configure everything correctly.

It's at the bottom of the example models, one of the very first steps in the actual PDF.

Thanks so much for the reply.

Just to add, I have found two great tutorials on YouTube that explain in simple terms how to get started:

        Creo Tutorial Links

        1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90jTbG6Wq-c
Good introduction for Creo 3 with some Tetrix parts

        2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8Bxid8Gg0s
Very Good video for showing Tetrix parts assembly. Includes channels, motors, wheels. Goes into a lot of detail.

        3. https://www.youtube.com/user/SayWattCAD
        Good set of tutorials.

        Thanks again.

There is an excellent tutorial that I used to learn at http://help.ptc.com/creo_hc/creo30_p..._overview.html
