  • Movable goal

I am new to FTC so i have inquires .
Are we able to use "wheel" driven by motor to "grab" on our movable goal ?

What if i trap the goal ? However , it is still touching the floor with the wheel moving but just trap inside the
    robot ?

    Is it legal ?

With the mechanism you described, can you drive the robot in such a way that the goal moves away from the robot freely? If you can, it is legal. If you cannot, it is illegal. If I may ask, why are you asking about last year's game?

How many sides does the box have? If it has four, than it is illegal. If it has three, than it is legal, unless the open side lines up with the frame so that the goal cannot escape.

May i know what are you trying to say ?
This is what i meant about the motor as "sucker"

So basically i cannot "cage " the goal , all i can do is push or pull ?

I don't catch the part unless the open side lines up with the frame so that the goal cannot escape , can you elaborate or post picture ? Thx

Hi Larhal, you can see the official answers to this post from last season in the GetOverIt Forum. The forum is closed for posting, but I believe this topic has been covered very thoroughly.

                  Hi Larhal,

The design you described is prohibited as that would be considered possession of the rolling goal. You will not be able to pull the rolling goal freely away if the robot is disabled thus, it is not permitted.
