There has been a new release of the FTC software development kit and the FTC-enabled MIT App Inventor virtual machine. Version 2.2 has been released for the 2016-2017 FIRST Tech Challenge season.
Teams can access the updated FTC software development kit as an Android Studio project from the following GitHub repository:

App Inventor users can access the updated App Inventor virtual machine from the FTC App Inventor download page:
