A: Modifying servo programming or parameters goes beyond normal servo operation, altering servo behavior compared to otherwise-identical servos, and is considered a modification; on some servos, reprogramming can override safety protections which could present a safety hazard or damage the servo in normal operation. Servo programming or parameter modifications violate <R09>c.i. and are not allowed. In Rule R09-C-i it states that "Any unmodified quarter-scale or smaller servo is allowed." Can you clarify whether changing the program parameters of a digital servo such as the Hitec HS-5485HB (https://www.servocity.com/html/hs-54...l#.VSxKf-lFC70) to change the direction and speed of rotation would be considered "modifying" it under that rule even though the ability to make such changes is part of the servo's design?
